Celton Manx is lending its support to an event to help benefit the Castletown Branch of the Royal British Legion.
On Saturday 1st October, Rushen Silver Band and Musicale choir will combine for a special concert in aid of the Castletown Branch of the charity at Castle Rushen High School. The ‘Last Night of the Proms’ style concert will showcase the talents of the band and choir both individually and collectively as they mark the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
Celton Manx Executive Director, Bill Mummery said: ‘We are pleased to be supporting the events to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion and especially to benefit the Castletown branch. This sponsorship is a great way for us to say thank-you to the Castletown community which has supported us since our arrival in the town in 2008. Although we have now relocated to our new headquarters in Braddan, we will continue to look for ways in which we can support the Castletown community in the future.’
Mr Jim Cottier Chairman of the Royal British Legion (Castletown) said: ‘This is a great event for the British Legion in Castletown, it’s an excellent way to celebrate the 90th Anniversary and we are very grateful to Celton Manx for its kind support of the concert.
