‘Dame Kelly Holmes’ Competing in IOMAS 3rd Annual Duck Race

by isleofman.com 27th September 2011
The Isle of Man Adoption Service is holding its 3rd Annual Duck Race at 2pm on Sunday 6 November 2011 starting from Monks Bridge, Ballasalla and it is open to all. All funds raised this year will support its new Play Therapy project launched in November 2010. The first event will be the Corporate Race followed immediately by the Small Duck Race. Last year there were 26 entries for the Corporate Race . This year IOMAS are delighted to have the ‘Dame Kelly Holmes Duck’ in the Corporate Race and she will be representing the highest bidder. Dame Kelly kindly signed the duck on a recent visit to the Island and great things are expected of her. IOMAS’ Play Therapy project aims to provide a specialist service to the adopted child (and their adoptive family) when such a need is identified. The funds raised from this fun event will help this very worthwhile project to continue. If you are interested in sponsoring a Corporate Duck, would like to bid for the ’Dame Kelly Duck’ to represent your organisation or would like to sponsor any of our small ducks for ?1 each please contact IOMAS by telephoning 625161 or emailing general@iomas.im ENDS
