Celton Manx Officially Opens New Global Headquarters

by isleofman.com 28th September 2011
Chief Minister Hon Tony Brown officially opened the new Celton Manx Global Headquarters, Celton House today (27th September) at a spectacular launch event. Since 2008, the Celton Group whose brand www.SBOBET.COM is a global leader in online sports betting, has been based Castletown. After 3 years of significant growth and development their new HQ has become Celton House, located at the Isle of Man Business Park in Douglas, an impressive purpose built development of over 6000 sq ft. Invited members of the Celton Manx Executive Management Group flew in from Asia for the occasion joining special guests including Government representatives, leaders from local business, friends and associates of Celton Manx. The Chief Minister was invited by Bill Mummery, Executive Director, to unveil a commemorative Manx slate plaque to mark the official opening of the building. Guests were then given the opportunity to take a tour of Celton House followed by a VIP reception and supper. Bill Mummery said: ‘I was delighted to invite the Chief Minister to officially open Celton House and extremely grateful that he was able to accept. This is a very special day for Celton Manx when over 18 months of planning and hard work has come together to produce a Global Headquarters that is second to none. ‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the local companies that have been involved in making this project a huge success. We have been working closely with the Dandara team as lead contractors who have worked tirelessly to ensure that this project meets our exacting needs. ‘It is especially pleasing that all of the contracts and works relating to the development have been awarded to local Manx companies all of whom, without exception, have delivered excellent results. ‘We are rightly proud to have established our Global Headquarters in the Isle of Man and to operate in such a well-regulated and internationally recognised jurisdiction. Our new Headquarters will give us the space and technological infrastructure we need to continue to grow our global operations from the Isle of Man. Whilst we were saddened to leave Castletown we are very much enjoying settling into our new home in Braddan.’ The Chief Minister said: ‘It has been my pleasure to be here this evening to officially open Celton House. These new headquarters demonstrate the company’s commitment to the Isle of Man and is an indication of the Island’s success as a World class e-gaming jurisdiction. Celton Manx’s new HQ is very impressive and it is particularly pleasing to hear that the project has been completed in its entirety using Manx organisations. I wish Celton Manx and its team every happiness and success in its new home.’ The evening was rounded off in spectacular style with a magnificent fireworks and lighting display. ENDS
