The annual Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium ran the last week in September, and attracted over 60 paddlers! Guest coaches and students travelled from the United States, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands and all around the UK, as well as local paddlers from the Island. Utilising our local tidal races and Overfalls, and superb coastline and conditions especially around the Calf of Man, the event (enjoying its 9th year) is growing steadily with the support of the IoM Steam Packet Company and the Dept. of Tourism. The Guest Coach line-up for the International Training Weekend (the highlight of the symposium) included Dale Williams and Tom Pogson from the US, Nigel Dennis, Phil Clegg and Pete Jones from N. Wales.
