by isleofman.com 4th October 2011
Friends of Manx National Heritage have a new way to pay their annual membership fees. From yesterday (3rd October), membership fees can be paid through any of the 25 Island Post Offices. By becoming a Friend of Manx National Heritage, valuable support in the form of an annual subscription, ten years, or life membership or legacy will go towards continuing the policy of funding all aspects of the work of Manx National Heritage. Friends have free access to all the Story of Mann attractions throughout the Island. By reciprocal arrangement, Manx residents have free or reduced admission to properties operated by the National Trust for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the National Trust for Scotland, English Heritage and Historic Scotland, as well as equivalent organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. A discount is available at Story of Mann Heritage shops and Friends receive a special programme of events listing which includes access to exhibitions, lectures, film nights and social gatherings. Development & Admin Officer for the Friends of Manx National Heritage, Nicola Pemberton said ‘We are delighted that our Friends can now pay in their local Post Office as it is so much more convenient for them. We really value their contribution in helping us keep our Island heritage alive’. Retail Network Manager for Isle of Man Post Office, Marty Quine said ‘We are proud to be working together with the Friends of Manx National Heritage and we hope the community will support the Island’s heritage by becoming a member of the Friends through their local Post Office’. Those wishing to join or renew their membership with the Friends of Manx National Heritage can simply fill in a form at any Post Office and hand it over to the Counter staff. -ENDS-
