Appointments at Barclays Wealth

Barclays Wealth today announced the appointments of Andrew Cole and Simon Hull to further strengthen its Leadership Team in the Isle of Man. The announcement follows the recent appointment of Steph Gregg as Head of Intermediaries and Captives on the island. Andrew has been appointed Head of Wealth Services and Wealth Operations and Simon as Head of Operational Assurance. With over 40 years’ experience in the banking industry between them, Andrew and Simon are both well-known and respected individuals in the industry. Andrew Cole, Head of Wealth Services and Wealth Operations Andrew, a qualified Chartered Accountant, joins from Close Fund Services Ltd in Guernsey where he was instrumental in the development of the business, having launched a Close Brothers Group office in South Africa. His previous roles also include Chief Financial Officer for JP Morgan Administration Services and Private Client Consultant for Investec Private Bank. In addition to his Isle of Man location responsibilities, Andrew will have functional responsibility for the majority of operational activity retained in Wealth Operations, including Credit Operations, Branch Banking Operations, Funds Administration, Estates and Trusts and Wealth Utility. Simon Hull, Head of Operational Assurance Simon brings a wealth of experience in banking and finance, having spent almost 20 years working for the Alliance & Leicester group. He joins Barclays Wealth from Conister Bank where he was a Managing Director. In addition to his extensive financial experience, Simon is a Chartered Director and an Elected Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
