Meet the Man, "Racing Through Time"

Michael Starkey exhibited the first half of his collection 'Racing Through Time' during TT 2011 at the Villa Marina. ‘Racing Through Time’ has been commissioned by the IOM Arts Council to celebrate the centenary of the festival's Mountain course. Having seen a successful exhibition in Ramsey during Manx Grand Prix, Michael and the IOM Arts Council have ventured down to the classic setting of the Erin Arts Centre, Victoria Square, Port Erin, where his exhibition will stay from Tuesday 4th October, with the last opportunity to see it in Port Erin on Friday 21st October. On Wednesday 12th October, at 12:00pm, Michael will be at the Erin Arts Centre to answer any questions you may have regarding the exhibition, as always admission into the gallery is free. Michael Starkey's collection of paintings show the Mountain Course in its heyday, back in 1911 to 2011 present day. Alongside the paintings, Michael has assembled a collection of present day photographs from around the Mountain Course illustrating the various points he has painted. Michael and the Arts Council have produced a range of merchandise for sale. A book of postcards priced ?4.99 and a book showing the complete 'Racing Through Time' exhibition with present day photographs priced ?7.99, both of which will be on sale at the Erin Arts ENDS
