The lucky winner of the grand prize in Manx Telecom’s Summer of Love promotion is off to Liverpool for a weekend with 10 relatives and friends. Linda Galloway from Peel won the Isle of Man Steam Packet Holidays weekend break which is the culmination of a summer long series of super prizes given away by Manx Telecom. Linda said: “We had a choice of destinations, but chose Liverpool because there is such a good choice of places to go and things to do. We’re all looking forward to a great weekend and it will be a chance for us all to celebrate the birthday of one of my cousins, but I can’t tell you how old she is!” Linda won the competition after renewing her mobile contract, one of many easy ways Manx Telecom customers could enter the Summer of Love prize draw. David Smith, Manx Telecom Director of Marketing, congratulated Linda on her win and thanked Steam Packet Holidays and 3FM for supporting the competition. He added: “Summer of Love has provided a lot of fun for our customers who have received some great prizes. But in addition to winning gifts and tickets, we also wanted to provide great experiences too, and I’m sure Linda and her relatives and friends will have a memorable time in Liverpool.” Manx Telecom’s Summer of Love has given away loads of prizes since it was launched in June, including a Steam Packet weekend break in Chester, Shoprite BBQ sets and food vouchers, a personal meeting with The Who frontman Roger Daltrey and tickets to his Isle of Man concert, a trip to see the meerkats at Curraghs Wildlife Park, a meal and an overnight stay at The Sefton Hotel, a relaxation day at the Palace Hotel and a Duke Karting Mini Grand Prix prize for 10 participants.
