ALIL staff raise ?1300 during charity fancy dress pub crawl Alliance & Leicester International staff raised over ?1300 for local charity Victim Support – and had plenty of fun along the way! The bank staff and friends swapped their suits for fancy dress costumes in the theme of Super Heroes or Film Characters for the evening and collected donations across the islands pubs! Visiting various establishments in Douglas, Peel and Ramsey as well as a number of others en route, the team raised ?650 on the evening which was then doubled by the banks parent company – Santander. Commenting on the evening, Paula Gelling, Manager of Victim Support said “This was a novel and fun way of raising money and I can’t thank the staff of ALIL enough for giving up their time on a Saturday evening to raise funds for us.” George Campbell, Community Affairs Manager for ALIL added “This was an excellent example of putting the FUN into Fundraising. Everyone had a great night, raised lots of funds – and even the singing on the bus between pubs was quite in tune!” -ENDS-
