Archery Report

This week saw the start of the Handicap league with a Portsmouth round being shot this brought six personal bests and four archers shooting above their handicap rating. The podium this week saw two recurve archer take the top two spots with Billy Lightfoot edging it from Adrian Breed with compound archer Colin Moore standing on the third step. Tony Hartley started very well with only dropping three points in his first dozen arrows until he was complimented on his shooting by Dave Berry and the jinx continues, Michael Tancurin leave a point and insert from one of his arrows in the boss. Three new archers to the club shot today compound archer from the UK Simon Musgrove and husband and wife team Rob and Karen Lott all three shot the Portsmouth round but with no handicap rating couldn’t be counted in the main results. Next weeks round is a Worcester in the Scratch league as usual shooting time are the morning session 10am for 10:30 start and 1:30 for 2pm for the afternoon session all at Onchan Community Centre’s Sports Hall.
