Out2Play Offers Half-Term Fun and Games

by isleofman.com 12th October 2011
The Children’s Centre Out2Play scheme has a fun packed half-term in store for youngsters across the Island. Whatever the weather, organisers say that all events will take place outdoors - and with lots of high-energy activities being planned the youngsters won’t have a problem staying warm! The fun starts on Monday October 24 and continues until the final event on Friday October 28. As always, the Out2Play sessions are run by The Children’s Centre Playworkers supported by volunteers and as well as offering a chance to play it is also a good opportunity to meet new friends. Sessions are open to children aged four to 11. Chris Gregory, Playwork Development Officer at The Children’s Centre, said: “Our motto for Out2Play this half-term is: ‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing’. All we ask is for youngsters to turn up dressed to cope with whatever the weather happens to be like on the day, we will provide everything else they need to have a great time spending the day outside in the fresh air.” For more information about Out2Play sessions email info@thechildrenscentre.org.im, call 676076 or visit www.thechildrenscentre.org.im The full list of Out2Play sessions at half-term is as follows: Monday October 24 Onchan Kick About Field (adjacent to Onchan Pleasure Park) - 10am to noon.
