The Douglas Choral Union (DCU) is delighted and proud to have secured support from a number of the Island’s biggest names for their production of Miss Saigon. Dougherty Quinn, one of the Islands leading law firms, will once again be principal sponsor.
Giles Hill, Director, said:
“DQ’s dedication and commitment to the DCU reflects the importance of the arts in the Isle of Man’s culture, its importance to the current and emerging generations, and its role at the heart of communities throughout the Island.
The DCU are also delighted to have a new Gold Sponsor with SMP Partners bringing much valued support to what is a very ambitious project taken on by the DCU for the Isle of Man. SMP Partners are no strangers to local theatre goers having already sponsored the excellent summer production of the Wizard of Oz by Taylorian Productions.
In addition the DCU are extremely pleased to have again received sponsorship from IsleofMan.com, Isle of Man Post Office, Mannin Media, Wi-Manx, Coutts Bank and Clare Payne Photography, all of which bring much valued support. The DCU would also like to give a special mention to their longest serving sponsor, Paradise and Gell, who will be celebrating 40 years of business in 2012.
Meanwhile Manx Radio has again come on board as Associate Sponsor. Manx Radio will provide a series of exclusive interviews with the cast and crew, plus they will be holding competitions for your chance to win free tickets. More news and features regarding Miss Saigon will appear on www.isleofman.com keeping tabs on everything DCU related.
Commenting on the support the DCU has gained, DCU Chairman Alex Toohey said:
“As the costs of our productions are never cheap, we are most grateful to all of our sponsors as without their support and generosity we would find it increasingly difficult to produce a show to the standard expected by the Manx public. The arts always have an important role to play in the local community and with the help of our sponsors we can not only offer a great night out, but also uncover and nurture some fantastic talent along the way. We are thrilled to have such fantastic support and we are proud that these leading companies believe in what we do. Now it’s over to us to put on another spectacular show!”
