Isle of Man based financial services business Boston Group launched its new visual identity at a packed party at the Mailbox last night (Thursday 13th October). The event saw all of Boston’s staff celebrating alongside key partners from the Island’s business community and representatives of the Isle of Man Government.
Over 120 people enjoyed the drinks and canapes at the event on Circular Road. The Mailbox restaurant and bar was specially equipped for the evening with high profile projections and displays featuring the company’s new logo and other branded material.
Greg Ellison, who was appointed as CEO of the Group in April, took the opportunity to share some of Boston’s plans with the company’s guests. He commented: “I see great opportunities for Boston Group. Working alongside the government’s economic development initiatives to build strong relationships in the Middle East and Asia will give us a platform to develop our international business and will be the cornerstone of our long-term growth.”
The event represented the first public appearance of the new Chief Minister since his appointment on Tuesday. Commenting on the launch, Mr Bell said “It’s pleasing to see Greg and the Boston team getting behind the government’s international development initiatives. This public private sector partnership is vital and something that I will continue to support in my new role as Chief Minister.”
The event reflected and celebrated the start of a new era for the company, which has set itself on a new course in recent months. The company has put in place an ambitious strategic plan that focuses on creating an international footprint, breaking into new growth markets and the use of technology to create a leading-edge service model. The rebranding launched at Thursday’s party was an important element of this plan to ensure that the company’s website and marketing materials reflect this new direction.
