Visitors from Sierra Leone

by isleofman.com 19th October 2011
There’s a chance to meet two visitors from Sierra Leone on Friday 28 October at 7.30pm, at Kirk Braddan church hall. Joseph Ndanema is the Development Secretary of Methodist Church Sierra Leone, and as such coordinates all the church’s aid work in the country, including the 2009-12 farming and fishing project supported by IoM’s Overseas Aid Committee through Christian Aid. Eustace Mensah is the Livelihoods Officer for Christian Aid in Sierra Leone. Admission is free, but people are invited to bring along some simple food to share together. Phil Craine, who represents Christian Aid on the IoM, said, “Joe and Eustace are committed professionals who were so helpful when our Manx group visited Sierra Leone in February, and it’s wonderful that they’re able to come to the Island during their stay in Britain and show us how Manx aid money is being spent.” The event is organised by the World Development Committee of Churches Alive in Man (ex-Churches Together in Man). Enquiries to Phil Craine on 672224.. ENDS
