Just Care About Manx Physically Disabled

Local firm Just Care Products Ltd are supporting their community this month by helping the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled. As part of 2011 Disability Awareness week, the MFPD will hold a walk through Douglas shopping area on 31 October for wheelchair users and people with visual impairments. Managing Director Ben Hellowell commented: “We are delighted to provide ten wheelchairs for this event which aims to highlight and celebrate the work of charities like the MFPD. ‘We are pleased to assist them and will be present on the day to show support of the vital work they do for disabled people.” Michelle .Brady, Access Officer. from the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled said: “Disability Awareness Week 2011 will be held from 31 to 5 November. “We are very grateful to Ben as this gesture will help our representatives to promote our work and further improve life for disabled people in the Isle of Man.” The MFPD and Just Care Products Ltd will be joined on the walk by MHKs, local businesses, third sector organisations and the public sector. The event will also be supported by IOM College students who will walk with the group and start at 11am outside Regent Street Post Office, Douglas.
