Sponsorship for the work of the Manx Wildlife Trust has come from the Douglas-based companies of Caledonian Global Financial Services.
Caledonian Trust (IoM) Limited and Caledonian Fund Services (Europe) Limited have joined the nature conservation charity’s corporate membership scheme at Silver level. The initiative forms part of Caledonian’s corporate social responsibility programme.
Sandra Georgeson, Managing Director of Caledonian Trust said they were delighted to support the Wildlife Trust in 2012. She added: ‘This fantastic charity is instrumental in protecting the Island’s ecological and environmental heritage. Our employees are looking forward to the opportunity to be involved with the work of the Trust, as well as visiting the local nature reserves early next year.’
Similar sentiments were expressed by Neil Cain of Caledonian Fund Services who said: ‘It is important to ensure the Isle of Man’s unique eco-systems are preserved for existing and future generations and we hope our support will contribute to the important role played by the Manx Wildlife Trust.’
Anne Marie Kilgallon, the Trust’s Fundraising and Wildlife Advocacy Officer, welcomed the two companies as corporate members. She said their involvement would not only help with the key aim of protecting Manx wildlife but also enable Caledonian’s staff to be introduced – in a practical way - to the work of the Trust.
