by isleofman.com 21st October 2011

The Council of Ministers and Treasury are currently seeking to appoint lay members to the following organisations: • Manx Electricity Authority • Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority • Isle of Man Post Office • Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading • Financial Supervision Commission • Insurance and Pensions Authority • Road Transport Licensing Committee • Public Sector Pensions Authority • Civil Service Commission The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday, October 31, and anybody who feels they possess the necessary attributes to serve on one of the Statutory Boards or Bodies is urged to apply. This is an opportunity for community spirited individuals to play their part in public life and make a real difference as the Island moves forward.’ While public appointees are not involved in the day-to-day running of an organisation, they are required to provide an ongoing commitment in terms of their time, interest and attention.
