by isleofman.com 27th October 2011
If you are a local Isle of Man charity and you need a boost of funds, help with a fundraising event or need a piece of equipment purchased, then Alliance & Leicester International could be the Christmas Fairy you need. The local savings bank are inviting local charities to register for the 12 Days of Christmas campaign which is set to launch at Nobles Park Pavillion on 7th November. This is the fourth year the promotion has been run which will benefit many local charities. Commenting on the campaign, Alliance & Leicester International’s Community Affairs Manager, George Campbell said “We always receive a fantastic response to this campaign which sets the agenda for our charity programme for the next year. Our staff have been fantastic in supporting a number of charity fundraisers throughout 2011 and now we want to build on that success into 2012. With a matched funding pool of up to ?3,500 per event courtesy of our parent’s charitable arm, The Santander Foundation, we really can make a difference to local charities on the island” Adding their support to the campaign are Douglas Mayor & Mayoress Cllr Richie McNicholl and his wife Julie who have been recipients of support from this campaign in 2010/11 through their Mayoral Charity Appeal. Mayor McNicholl commented “Alliance & Leicester International really do put the fun back into fundraising. They are innovative, deliver what they promise and are passionate about contributing to the community of the Isle of Man. I would urge everyone involved in a local charity to take part in their 12 Days of Christmas campaign. You never know, you could be a winner!” Charities should their interest by emailing charity@alil.co.im to receive an invite to the launch evening. At the event, full details of this year’s scheme will be revealed and more information will be given on how charities can enter their Christmas wish for support during 2012. ENDS
