This weeks Fita 18 scratch league round saw an incredible seven personal best being achieved and these came from the Anne Rutland who’s had what can only be as an amazing year and still improving weekly also Tony Hartley, Jon Rutland, Kirsten George, Bradley Layton, Robert and Karen Lott. Gents recurve saw Tony Hartley top the podium followed closely by Jon Rutland with both doing PB’s this turned into a great fight with Frank Vaughan taking the last podium spot with Robert Lott just behind him notable absentees were Billy Lightfoot who picked up a shoulder injury and Dave Berry who was sub-contracted out to Manx Auto Sport to assist clerk of works with the stages rally. Ladies recurve saw Anne Rutland once again top the ladies table with an incredible performance followed by Karen Lott shooting her first Fita round and both putting in PB’s in the Gents compound discipline peter Mumford topped the pile with Colin Moore battling closely just behind him. Ladies Compound saw Team GB star Aalin George top the score sheets with Sarah Rigby picking up the runners up spot and with Kirsten George putting in a PB picked up the last spot on the podium in a closely fort shoot with Joy Gough. Also all club members are reminded that The Isle of Man Archery Club will be holding their 2011 Outdoor Season Prize Presentation on the evening of Thursday 24th November at the Ronaldsway Social Club 7.30 pm for a prompt start at 8.00 pm any donations of prizes would be most welcome.
