by isleofman.com 31st October 2011
Police are seeking information following the theft of a two-wheeled box trailer from the Harris Terrace area of Douglas. The trailer was taken some time between the evening of Saturday 22nd October and the early hours of Monday 24th October. The trailer is described as having a wooden base with silver coloured metal sides, grey wheel arches and being around 6ft long by 4ft wide. The trailer is thought to have had flat tyres prior to being stolen and is likely to have been towed away by a vehicle. In particular Police would like to speak to a male seen in the area carrying a foot pump at around 10am on Friday 21st October. This male has been described by a witness as being around 5ft 11in tall, of medium build and having white hair and a beard and is thought to be in his late 50s or early 60s. Another witness has identified a male of similar height and build who is often seen in the area driving an Isuzu 4x4 vehicle which tows a similar trailer to the one stolen. This male was also seen in the area around the time of the suspected theft. Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the trailer or either of the two males above, no matter how small or insignificant should contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
