Constable Jenette Martin from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident of damage to two bollards caused by a hit and run traffic accident. The bollards are situated at the junction of Bank Hill and North Quay, Douglas. The damage was discovered on the morning of Saturday 5th November 2011 and a spokesman for the Department of Infrastructure has stated that the damage will cost over ?400 to repair. PC Martin said “Police suspect that the vehicle involved will be extensively damaged and I would urge anyone with information about this incident to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.” If you have any information regarding this matter, then please contact Police immediately.
