Manx Telecom is the first communications provider in the Isle of Man to offer a mobile compliance recording service for BlackBerry, to the same stringent standards and the same low costs as fixed line recording. The new Red Box Quantify Mobile Recording Suite securely records all voice and SMS communications on BlackBerry and is an important service for legal compliance officers as it offers a full audit trail with alerts and alarms. System administrators can also use continuous diagnostic tools. Previously exempt from legislation, the UK Financial Services Authority recently announced Policy Statement 10/17 detailing the removal of exemption of mobile phone recording rules effective as of 14 November 2011.
Neil Keig, Technical Consultant at Manx Telecom, said:
“The Quantify Mobile Recording Suite is remarkably simple to implement, integrate and manage. Due to its design, it is around half the cost of other comparable alternatives. It gives compliance officers the reassurance of knowing that all voice and SMS communications on BlackBerry smartphones - with at least OSv5 - are securely recorded and stored.”
In addition, the recording suite supports full disaster recovery architecture and can be deployed on an existing secure in-house infrastructure or as a secure hosted service.
Users cannot bypass or delete any calls or data; in fact, they are barely aware that they are being recorded and enjoy almost instant connection.
Red Box is a market leader in compliance digital recording and its clients include financial institutions and police forces which need to record calls for staff training, dispute resolution and protection against fraud. Red Box has offices in New York, Bangkok and Singapore and was included in this year’s Sunday Times Tech Track 100 - a list of Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies.
