Police are investigating an incident whereby a Grey boxer type dog has attempted to bite two dogs and two children in the area of Hailwood Avenue, Douglas during the evening of Sunday 13th November 2011. Police are appealing for any aggrieved party or witnesses in this matter to come forward, and also anyone who has knowledge of whom the owner of the dog may be. The owner is described as average height, stocky with a beard wearing a beanie hat and was carrying a plastic bag at the time. ENDS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Police are investigating an incident of heating oil theft that occurred in the area of Hawarden Avenue, Douglas between Friday 11th and Tuesday 15th November 2011. Heating oil has been removed from a residential property’s oil tank. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen any persons acting suspiciously during the hours of darkness. Police would like to remind residents, particularly as winter draws nearer, that opportunistic thieves will target property’s with insecure oil tanks.
