Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that occurred at approximately 8.40am on Monday 7 November 2011 at the pedestrian crossing on Woodbourne Road, Douglas. Information is sought as to the identity of a small silver car which drove through a red light on the crossing, narrowly missing pedestrians who were using the crossing at the time. The car is believed to have contained at least one passenger and was being driven by a male. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact PC Hayley Curtis at Lord Street Police Station. ENDS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Douglas Police would like to speak with a member of the public who witnessed an incident on LOCH PROMENADE, DOUGLAS at approximately 3.45am on Sunday 20th November 2011. The male witness briefly spoke with an officer regarding 2 males who were seen to leave a vehicle which had been abandoned in the Bottle Neck Car Park. Enquiries are continuing at this time, and police would like to witness to come forward to assist in their investigation.
