The President of Tynwald, the Hon Clare Christian MLC, welcomed the South Korean Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Choo Kyu-ho, to the Legislative Buildings during his two-day visit to the Isle of Man. Madam President said: ‘It was a pleasure to be able to extend a welcome to His Excellency and offer an insight into our long tradition of parliamentary democracy, also to exchange views on matters of mutual interest. Visits such as these serve to strengthen relationships between nations and promote the Isle of Man to a wider audience.’ During his stay in the Island Ambassador Choo, who also met the Speaker of the House of Keys, the Hon Steve Rodan MHK, attended a number of official engagements and experienced a little of the culture and heritage of the Isle of Man.
