Manx Telecom Appoint New Mobile Product Manager

Manx Telecom has appointed Mervyn Harvey as its new Mobile Product Manager. Mervyn grew up in County Tipperary, and prior to joining Manx Telecom worked for six years at Eircom, the principal telecoms provider in the Republic of Ireland. He spent three years as Senior Product Manager and, before that, three years as Technical Development Manager. In his new role, Mervyn is responsible for Manx Telecom’s entire mobile portfolio spanning consumer and business customer needs. He also manages the mobile product team and oversees the delivery of new products and services. Mervyn has a degree in Business Studies and Information Systems Management from the Institute of Public Administration in Dublin, and an EMBA (Executive Masters in Business Administration) which he was awarded after studying at University College Dublin’s Michael Smurfit School of Business. Before that he worked as an IT and network systems engineer. David Smith, Manx Telecom Marketing Director, said: “Mervyn has joined Manx Telecom at an exciting time for the company, and for our mobile product range. Our new store gives us the perfect environment to display the biggest range of handsets on the Island, and with Mervyn’s experience and knowledge, we have a Mobile Product Manager who can enhance even further the excellent range of mobile products and services we offer our customers.” Mervyn has moved to the Island with his wife and their two daughters. Away from work he is a fan of American football and rugby union. - ENDS -
