UBrain TV looking to establish first Clean Tech Centre on the Isle of Man As part of its drive to grow its Clean Tech sector, the Isle of Man Government has entered into further discussions with Japanese-British organisation, UBrainTV, to establish the first Clean Tech Centre which would showcase UBrainTV energy technology award winners. The partnership would establish the Island as a Research and Development (R&D) Centre of Excellence, where governments and businesses from around the world can come to experience pioneering, sustainable technology and innovative environmental projects in action. The scheme proposes that each year the award winners will be given the opportunity to showcase their technologies on the Isle of Man, supported financially by UBrain TV and newly formed Manx entities; United Brain Networks International and UBrain Clean Tech Opportunities PCC, a news and networking web TV platform specialising in energy and environment. The collaboration follows last month’s successful inaugural UbrainTV 1st Anniversary Conference and Energy Tech Awards held on the Isle of Man, which recognise a project’s contribution to a more sustainable environment for the local community. Among this year’s winning companies who would potentially showcase their technologies on-Island were Revo International, a world renowned biofuel producer, and Micro Energy Co. Ltd which built and operates Japan’s first commercial-scale biomass-to-liquid plant. The Island is committed to growing its Clean Tech sector and recently launched a 0% Green Business Loan Scheme, designed to help businesses operating on the Isle of Man lower energy costs as well as increase overall operational efficiency.
