Electricity Supply Loss - Onchan

by isleofman.com 29th November 2011
Electricity supplies to the Onchan area were interrupted this morning at 07:08 due to an 11kV cable fault between Douglas North Primary substation and Glenside substation. MEA engineers responded to the fault in difficult weather conditions and all supplies were restored at 8.02. The fault area has been isolated with customers now on “back feed” (supplies being fed around the isolated area). Engineers are still investigating the exact location. Once located, work will be undertaken today to repair the cable with no additional disturbance expected for customers. If anybody has any concerns regarding their power, please could they call MEA on 687687.
