Pong-O-Rama - It's No Drama

by isleofman.com 30th November 2011
It’s Panto! Oh yes it is…. With 20 years of ‘he’s behind you’ behind them, Peel Pantaloons are preparing for a spectacular anniversary show this year. From their very humble beginnings, Peel Pantaloons, the brainchild of founder member Keith Horne, has grown into an innovative and forward thinking 21st century Theatre group. For this years’ anniversary show, there is a brand new script by the panto genius David Swan, new cast members (introducing Gemma Varnom & Stephanie Gray to Panto) a new online ticket sales system, and in addition to the usual ‘whizz bang’ pyrotechnics that have proved so popular with audiences in the past, they are introducing what can only be best described as ‘Smell-O-Vision’ Ben Heath (producer) said " We are so excited to be bringing over equipment from the USA, equipment used by companies like Disney, to offer a first to Isle of Man theatre, ‘Smell-O-Vision’. Whilst the audience are enjoying the show their senses will also be experiencing the smell an old Bavarian Tavern and even spooky Dracula's castle" Shows are running from the 5th December to the 10th December, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday. Friday and Saturday evening has now sold out but tickets are available for other performances. Tickets are available online at Peelpanto.com or in the traditional manner at Harbour Lights Restaurant. This years’ Director, Barbara Quilliam speaking at the outdoor filming said: This exciting and fun show for all the family should prove to be the best value you can get for your money over the festive season.
