Increased Night Owl Buses During Festive Period

by isleofman.com 30th November 2011
Bus Vannin will operate additional Night Owl buses during the festive period. In anticipation of pre-Christmas increased demand, the extra Hullad Oie (Night Owl) buses will run on Thursday nights on 8, 15 and 22 December, in addition to the regular Night Owls on Fridays and Saturdays, providing a convenient, safe and affordable journey home for those that want to stay out and make the most of the ‘Christmas Spirit’. Night Owl information plus details of all changes to the bus services operating throughout Christmas and New Year (19 December to 3 January) can be found on the website www.iombusandrail.info or obtained from the Welcome Centre at Douglas Sea Terminal. Richard Little, Marketing Manager for IoM Public Transport, said: ‘Leave your sleigh at home, give Rudolph a rest and let the Night Owl take you home, running Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays including Christmas Eve through the Christmas period.’ Tuesday 27 December and Monday 2 January will operate to an enhanced Sunday schedule, with additional journeys on 4A, 5, 5A and 17. The normal Sunday service will operate on Tuesday 1 January and there will be no Manx Express operating on Wednesday 28 December, which will have a Saturday service.
