TravelNews.im Is Cleared for Take-Off!

by isleofman.com 5th December 2011
Representatives from a wide range of the Island’s travel and tourism sector attended the launch of the TravelNews.im website and newsletter. The event was held at the Villa Marina Arcade and guests were treated to Champagne and canapes to celebrate the launch. TravelNews.im will carry all the latest news affecting the Island’s travel, tourism and hospitality sectors, off-Island news affecting the travel industry, and profiles of well known figures from travel and tourism businesses. The TravelNews.im weekly newsletter will be emailed free to all subscribers and will feature items covering airlines, ferry companies, hotels, and all other sectors of the Island’s travel, hospitality, and tourism industries. Subscribers can also keep up to date via the travelnews.im Facebook page. Hattie Castle, Director of TravelNews.im, thanked guests for attending the launch and acknowledged the support that TravelNews.im has received from the Department of Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce. Her speech was followed by Geoff Corkish, MBE, MHK, Isle of Man Department of Economic Development Political Member responsible for Tourism, who said: “TravelNews.im will address a need within the Island’s travel, tourism and hospitality sectors to create a news hub providing all the latest information in a quick and easy to read format. It’s an innovative and exciting new project which showcases the Isle of Man and what it has to offer.” Initially, TravelNews.im is being sponsored by manx2.com but it is a wholly independent company and welcomes advertising from all businesses involved in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. -ENDS -
