by isleofman.com 8th December 2011
Isle of Man Bank and NatWest customers will now have access to an innovative ‘Emergency Cash’ facility that will assist them if their bank cards are lost or stolen. Emergency Cash, which has proved a valuable service for NatWest customers in the UK, was launched in the Isle of Man on Wednesday 7th December 2011. When customers report their card lost or stolen they can then call a 24 hour number direct to the bank and will be issued with a six digit emergency cash security code which can be used at any RBS Group ATMs across the UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Gibraltar. Telephone and online banking customers will be able to withdraw up to ?300 free of charge within three hours of calling their respective Bank. Customers not registered can withdraw up to ?40. Bill Shimmins, Island Director of Isle of Man Bank and NatWest, commented: “As part of our Customer Promises, Isle of Man Bank and NatWest are committed to listening to feedback from customers and acting on it to improve their overall experience. From speaking to customers we understand how frustrating it can be when cards are lost or stolen and the Emergency Cash facility aims to take the pressure off customers should this happen to them. Over 700,000 NatWest customers in the UK have benefitted from Emergency Cash since it was launched and we are pleased to extend this facility to local customers. We are delighted to be the only banking provider offering this valued service.” Available over the telephone, customers can call 01534 620050 if they require the service. Emergency cash is only available in multiples of ?20 so customers need to have minimum available funds of ?20. ENDS
