No Empty Shelves at the Isle of Man Farmers’ Markets

by isleofman.com 9th December 2011
Don’t let the threat of more bad weather and disrupted ferry services stop you from buying fresh food on the Isle of Man! The Isle of Man Farmers’ Markets have fresh produce, meat products, baked goods and much more. With weekly markets at Ramsey and St Johns, the monthly Castletown market on Sunday, December 18th at the Southern 100 clubhouse, and an additional Christmas Douglas market at the Villa on Saturday, December 17th, fresh locally grown and locally produced food is available without any impact from severe weather. The weekly Thursday market at St Johns is at Tynwald Mills, located in the all-weather marquee, newly relocated beside the garden centre as you enter the Mills. The weekly Saturday Ramsey market is also enjoying a new home, now indoors, at the Northern Lights Community Centre, Bowring Road. All the Isle of Man Farmers’ Markets benefit from regular stall holders who sell fresh produce and pork and poultry products, jams, pates, spreads, baked goods and desserts, as well as specialty items. Market times are Ramsey 10am-1pm, St Johns 11am-3pm, Douglas 10am-2pm and Castletown 1:30pm-3:30pm. All markets can be reached by car, bus, and foot, so don’t worry about the shelves being empty, come along to the Isle of Man Farmers’ Markets and enjoy the best that the Island has to offer. - Ends -
