Fellowship of Northern Churches Organises a Festival of Light.

by isleofman.com 12th December 2011
Over the past years, the Fellowship of Northern Churches, which represents all of the Christian Churches in Ramsey and the North, have joined in with Ramsey Town Commissioners and the Chamber of commerce to support the Lantern Parade. However, this Christmas, for various reasons, there is no parade, so The Fellowship have decided to organise a Festival of Light. The Festival will consist of a parade down Parliament Street followed by community carols around the crib on Saturday 17th December. We are asking everyone to meet at Shoprite at 4.00pm and bring a source of light (Torch, Lantern, candle, glowstick....) and we will walk down Parliament street to the Courthouse, where a carol service will be held. Once again the community crib, built by Ramsey Grammar School, will be installed on the green outside the courthouse, where we will be inviting people to leave prayer cards at the crib which will then be prayed for by Christians in Ramsey. The Fellowship sees this as a tremendous opportunity for Christ's church in Ramsey to reach out with His love into our community. We pray that God will direct and bless the festival and our town.
