Dot’s Dream Foundation

by isleofman.com 14th December 2011
ELS, a local company fronted by Justin McMullin has been an avid supporter of local charity Dot’s Dream Foundation, set up in April 2011 in memory of the late Dot Pitts, former Mayor of Douglas. Last year, ELS supported the family by providing ‘snow’ in a very special ‘Christmas’ celebration for Dot, and provided lighting at the launch event of the charity in April 2011. It was at the launch event that ELS learned of the charity’s short term aims, one of which was to purchase a television for one of the family rooms at Hospice Isle of Man. Debbie Jallow of Dot’s Dream Foundation said “we spent many sleepless nights at Hospice, and having a small luxury like a television is a welcome distraction. The family facilities are fantastic at Hospice, but we noticed that one of the rooms didn’t have a TV and thought that we could purchase and install one. On hearing our idea Justin immediately came forward with the massively generous donation of the TV from ELS” Having received a brand new 26 inch television, the Charity completed the bracketing and installation at the facility with assistance from Dan Wade of Wade’s Aerial Services.
