by isleofman.com 15th December 2011
If you’re looking for gifts that make ideal Christmas stocking fillers, The Children’s Centre may have the answer you’ve been searching for. The Island’s leading charity for families and children is selling Christmas cards, calendars and umbrellas with all of the proceeds going towards funding services it runs across the Island. The charity’s 2012 calendar can be collected from The Children’s Centre, Woodbourne Road, Douglas, for a minimum donation of ?1. All of the images in the calendar were taken by the children who live with the charity in its Residential Homes. Umbrellas designed to match The Children’s Centre’s colourful logo are also on sale. An adult size umbrella is ?12, and there’s a smaller version for children costing ?10 which has panels that children can colour in with fabric felt tips (also supplied) to make their own design, making it an ideal stocking filler for artistic youngsters.
