Peel Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of two reels of armoured electric cable which were taken sometime between 16:00 hrs on Friday 16th December 2011 and 09:00 hrs on Sunday 18th December 2011. The reels were removed from outside the garage of a property in the area of The Eairy, Foxdale and any person would likely have required to use a vehicle in order to move the items any distance. Police are anxious to hear from any person who may have any information which could assist in furthering their investigations and would urge any person who was in the area at the given time, to make contact. Enquires are ongoing into this matter and if any persons or vehicles were seen or heard acting suspiciously in the area during the times stated, Police will be eager to speak with witnesses. ENDS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between 10.30am and 12.25pm on Saturday 17th December 2011, a vehicle has knocked down approximately 25 metres of fencing on the section of the Mountain Road known as the Mountain Mile. The vehicle, which was silver in colour, has left the scene without reporting the incident, which left the fencing damaged. There were approximately 500 sheep in a nearby field which fortunately did not get on to the main road. It is believed there were a number of motorists using the road at the time, which may have seen the vehicle responsible. Anyone with any information in respect of this matter is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station or any Police Officer.
