Manx2.com Welcomes Launch of Travelnews.im

by isleofman.com 20th December 2011
Manx2.com is welcoming the launch of Travelnews.im, a weekly newsletter dedicated to spreading the word about the Isle of Man’s travel and hospitality sector. Manx2.com is one of the lead sponsors of the newsletter, which will be emailed to subscribers every Friday, with the aim of raising interest and awareness through news updates as well as features and links to a What’s on guide and directory. The newsletter will be supported by a website – www.travelnews.im and a facebook page. Chairman of Manx2.com Noel Hayes said: ‘We welcome and support the launch of Travelnews.im, which will bring together all the latest news and information about the Island’s tourism and hospitality industries. We’re all working really hard to promote what we do and it’s important to be able to get our messages out there.’ The team behind Travelnews.im will be based at Isle of Man Airport and will also offer companies the opportunity to advertise their services and events via the newsletter and website to targeted individuals. It’s being supported by the Department of Economic Development working in conjunction with the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce. DED Head of Marketing, Heather Smallwood, said: It’s become clear that increased and timely communications with the tourism and hospitality industries locally can deliver real benefits. Travelnews.im will play a vital role in sharing and disseminating information, offers and ideas and will no doubt be well received by both contributors and recipients.’ To follow Manx2.com on twitter: http://twitter.com/FlyManx2 And on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/FlyManx2 ENDS
