Former Paramount City re-opens

by isleofman.com 29th December 2011
Following months of speculation, the former Paramount City Nightclub has been brought back to life. The once thriving Douglas nightspot has been leased from the Sefton Group to H Dog Limited, a company comprised of local professionals, and has gone back to it’s original name of The Crescent. The concept behind the new venue is to bring something different to the Douglas nightlife scene. H Dog Director and local DJ Stuart Hampson commented “The Crescent want to offer something that will appeal to all age groups. With our newly re-furbished club we hope to offer theme nights on the top floor such as tribute acts, comedians etc followed by music to suit an older crowd, with the ground floor catering for the latest in chart and dance music. We are also openly available for private functions such as Christenings, Birthday Parties as well as being an ideal alternative venue for Corporate and Charity functions”. The Crescent opened last weekend with a private party and will get into full swing this weekend with their New Year’s Eve event which will see hundreds of balloons released at midnight, many containing prizes for the lucky finders. With free admission all night, it is anticipated to be busy from opening. Ends
