Constable Ben Horan from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident where somebody caused damage to the front shop window and door of a business on Wellington Street, Douglas. This occurred between 6.00pm on Friday 6th January 2012 and 9.00am on Saturday 7th January 2012.
The damage caused will require the glass of the shop front window and door to be replaced, incurring significant cost to the owner.
PC Horan said “The Police would like to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, or seen the incident.”

Between 9.00am and 3.00pm on Thursday 5th January 2012, two Locking Wheel Hubs have been stolen from a Nissan Navara parked on Taubmann Terrace, Head Road, Douglas.
These locking wheel hubs are special devices used to manually disconnect the wheels from the half shafts, and as such, it is believed that these have been stolen purposely to be put onto another vehicle.
Police would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows of a Nissan Navara which has had problems with it’s locking hubs. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the locking hubs or has any information in relation to their disappearance, could they please contact PC 273 Lissa Barklie at Police Headquarters on 631212.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a 14’’ yellow electric McCulloch chainsaw and a Karcher pressure washer. The items were stolen from a shed at the rear of a property on the Main Road, Union Mills overnight on Friday 6th January.
PC 85 Bryn Griffith stated ‘I would urge any person who has knowledge of this incident to inform the Police. This can be done by calling the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.’
