Tower Insurance Sponsor Children’s Charity Calendar

by isleofman.com 9th January 2012
Tower Insurance is sponsoring The Children’s Centre’s calendar for the sixth successive year. The 2012 calendar - which can be collected from The Children’s Centre, Woodbourne Road, Douglas, for a minimum donation of ?1 - is made up from photographs taken by young people who live in the charity’s Residential Houses. All proceeds go to fund the charity’s work with families and children across the Island. Peter Gallagher, Managing Director of Tower Insurance, said that the company is very pleased to be able to continue to support the valuable work that the charity carries out. Juana Warburton, Development Manager at The Children’s Centre, said: “Tower Insurance has been a loyal supporter of The Children’s Centre for several years and we are delighted they have decided to sponsor our calendar again. We rely on support from businesses and individuals to continue to run many of the services we provide, so we are always grateful when we receive sponsorship.” The Children’s Centre works directly with more than 1,000 children, young people and families every week and runs 15 vital services across the Island, each working to address a different recognised need. Every year the charity needs to raise ?500,000 to fund its charitable projects and services; Mobex, Out2Play, Community Development, Child Contact Centre and the Community Farm. - ENDS -
