Films In Peel

by isleofman.com 16th January 2012
On Wednesday 25th January Films in Peel will participate in the global Future Shorts Festival . A programme of six award winning films from around the world will be shown at the Centenary Centre in the same week as community cinemas in London, Liverpool, Lille, Cologne, Paris, Birmingham, Baku, Madrid, Berlin, Tbilisi, Athens, Stockholm and Cape Town - amongst others! Films in Peel is putting the Centenary Centre, Peel and the Isle of Man on the Future Shorts map! Founded in 2003, Future Shorts (www.futureshorts.com) was conceived from a desire to make short film more accessible to a mainstream audience. Its founder and creative director, Fabien Riggall, who is from the Isle of Man, had an idea to put together programmes of short films to be screened across the globe in any venue or location. It has been an incredibly successful initiative. The recent programme has been shown in more than 30 countries since November. The Isle of Man screening is brought to you by Films in Peel and kindly supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council. Screening starts at 7:45pm. Bar is open for 7:15pm. Tickets (?4/?3) from Celtic Gold or on the door. Reservation tickets with seat guarantee available from Mostly Manx (Douglas), Shakti Man (Ramsey) and Thompson Travel (Port Erin). Certificate is 18 and runtime 90 minutes.
