National Dental Nurse Qualifications on Island

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2012

Abbey Dental would like to congratulate Jennifer Shimmin on qualifying as a fully registered dental nurse.

Jennifer started her training with Abbey Dental in September 2010, enrolling with the Isle of Man based dental nurse training scheme lead by Susan Kennedy at Crookall House. The course was delivered by Isle of Man dental care professionals and dentists, including Abbey Dental’s principal  Mark Hepworth. The course culminated in formal practical and written examinations held by the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN), at various locations in England at the end of 2011.

The National Certificate course has a reputation for being intensive and academically challenging, making it hard to pass, especially on the first attempt, with students working full time in Dental Surgeries around the Island while studying.
