At a special ceremony at Ballakermeen High School, Head Teacher Adrienne Burnett received the Investors in People Gold Standard from Department of Economic Development’s Minister John Shimmin and CEO of the Department of Education and Children Stuart Dobson. The school is one of a very select group of organizations to have earned the prestigious award.

Minister Shimmin said:
‘To achieve the Investors in People standard is an achievement in itself, to reach Gold standard is an outstanding accomplishment that Ballakermeen should be proud of.’

DEC Chief Executive Stuart Dobson stated:
‘I would like to congratulate everyone at Ballakermeen who has worked so hard to gain a Gold Award. Ballakermeen is an outstanding school, and this is a fitting recognition of the sustained efforts by the staff to provide students with a first-class education.’
