At approximately 5.20pm on Wednesday 1st February 2012 a fatal injury road traffic collision occurred at the above location
 
The collision involved a silver coloured Honda Jazz car and a black coloured Yamaha motorcycle.
 
The Honda vehicle had been travelling towards Baldrine and the Yamaha motorcycle had been travelling towards Laxey prior to the collision taking place.
 
As a result of the collision the rider of the Yamaha motorcycle sustained fatal injuries.  The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.
 
The road was closed for approximately six hours whilst Police conducted enquiries at the scene.
 
The Police would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the collision or remembers seeing any of the vehicles described immediately before the collision.
