by isleofman.com 6th February 2012

Crossroads Care Golf Day, jointly sponsored by Canada Life International, Rossborough and Cavendish Trust is set to be eggs-tra special this year as it is being held on Monday 9 April, Easter Monday bank holiday.

The Golf Day, held at Douglas Golf Club, provides a fun filled day for corporate and golf enthusiasts, and the opportunity for the winning team to rein champions and house the Crossroads Care Golf Day trophy for the year.

The Golf Day will begin with an 18-hole round of golf and will be followed by a presentation dinner, where the winning team will be announced and prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin presented.

Entrants will also have the opportunity to ‘Beat the Pro’ in residence at the Golf Club, Mr Gary Hunter, one of only two men on the island to possess PGA certification, both of whom reside at Douglas Golf Club, as well as win a number of top prizes in an after dinner raffle.

As the event is also held on Easter Monday bank holiday, there will be an egg-citing Easter twist revealed on the day.

Crossroads are currently inviting teams of 4 persons to register for the Golf Day. Registration per team of 4 persons costs ?120 and includes a 2 course dinner. All proceeds from the Golf Day support Crossroads Care, a local charity that provides respite to those looking after someone with an illness, disability, frailty, substance abuse or mental health problem on the Isle of Man.

Alex Wilson, Event Co-ordinator, paid special thanks to the events title sponsor Canada Life International and joint sponsors Rossborough and Cavendish Trust. Thanks to their support of the event, all funds raised will go directly towards Crossroads Care providing services for the Manx community.
