Foxdale School Sport Relief 2012

by isleofman.com 6th February 2012

Sport Relief 2012 are challenging the Nation to complete a mile over the weekend of 23rd-25th March...but we thought Foxdale could go one better!! This year we are attempting a huge challenge - can you help us to jointly cover 1000km between now and the end of term?

We are aiming to walk, run or cycle 1000km to raise funds for this worthy cause. Everyone is invited to help us - just log the activity you do, and send in the ticket with the distance recorded so we can add it to our chart.

Whether walking the dog, running up mountains or cycling to work - it all counts. It is the total for the whole family we are after, not just the children! And, as everyone in the Foxdale community is invited to help, we are sure we can reach our target!

As well as logging the distances, we also want to raise as much money as we can. So, whenever you send in a ticket, please also send in a small donation. Please do not feel obliged to send in sums linked to your distance, so rather than a ?1/km, maybe ?1 per ticket (as an example).

If you feel inspired to try for a bigger distance as a challenge and wish to get sponsorship from work colleagues etc, please get in touch and we will happily supply school sponsor forms.

Maybe your family could aim for 100km of dog walks over half term...?! We will also be arranging activities in school and some special challenges to help us reach the 1000km.

For more information check out www.sportrelief.com and be sure to check our progress on our record chart in the school reception area.
