Police are investigating a ‘hit and run’ road traffic collision which occurred at some time between the 20th and 27th of January this year.
A blue coloured Jaguar X-type SE was left parked and unattended in a parking bay in Rowany Villas, next to the old Ocean Castle Hotel site on The Promenade in Port Erin.
At an unknown time between these dates another vehicle has collided into the front of this vehicle, causing a minor dent to the front grille. However, as a result the bonnet has become buckled and disjointed.
It appears that the offending vehicle has then left the scene without leaving any details or trying to make contact with the owner.
If anyone has any information in relation to this matter, they are urged to contact Police Constable 167 Lee Wright at Castletown Police Station on 822222 or via lee.wright@gov.im. Alternatively, people can give their information anonymously via the crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
