Isle of Man Consumers Fall in Love with Smartphones

by isleofman.com 7th February 2012

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the Island’s love of new technology is continuing to fuel consumers’ passion for the latest smartphones. Sales figures from Manx Telecom show that since November three out of every four phones sold were smartphones - and they are expecting the trend to continue with a range of His ‘n’ Hers’ smartphone offers in the run up to Valentine’s Day.

Voirrey Barron, Manx Telecom Marketing Communications Manager, said:
“Sales figures over the last few months are yet another indication that Isle of Man consumers are early adopters of new technology, and that there is a massive demand for the latest handsets. But it’s also the result of a long-term investment in mobile infrastructure by Manx Telecom which enables smartphones to be used to their full potential. We’re expecting our His ‘n’ Hers range to be very popular as Valentine’s Day gifts. When you think of how often we use smartphones - and how everyone can customise their own handset - they make very thoughtful and personal gifts. His ‘n’ Hers smartphones given as presents will be used every day for years to come, and will always remind the one you love of a very happy Valentine’s Day.”
There are six His ‘n’ Hers smartphones to choose from in the Valentine’s Day offer, and all are backed by Manx Telecom’s ‘Price Match Promise’ which guarantees customers the best mobile handset prices on the Island.

Manx Telecom customers can win a His ‘n’ Hers pair of Nokia Lumia handsets in a text message competition to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Look out for a text message from Manx Telecom with details on how to enter.

For more details on the His ‘n’ Hers smartphones drop in to the Manx Telecom store in Strand Street, Douglas, or go to http://www.manxtelecom.com/mobile/valentines.aspx
