The Children’s Centre Out2Play scheme has a fun packed week in store for youngsters across the Island, this half-term. Whatever the weather, organisers say that all events will take place outdoors - and let’s face it, playing in the rain can be great fun! It all starts at Onchan Kick About Field (opposite Onchan Pleasure Park) on Monday February 20 from 10am to noon with more activities in locations across the Island planned for the rest of the week. As usual, the sessions are run by The Children’s Centre Playworkers, supported by volunteers, and as well as offering a chance to play it is also a good opportunity to meet new friends. Sessions are open to children aged four to eleven. Children under the age of four are welcome but must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. Chris Gregory, Playwork Development Officer at The Children’s Centre, said:
“With the success of October’s Out2Play being a totally outside event we have continued to do the same in February. All we ask, again, is that the children come dressed for any weather and they’ll be sure to have a great time.”
